Jamstone is a privately owned specialist engineering geology and geotechnical consultancy office established in 2012 by Josef Major. The aim is to use many years of experience in medium and large consultancies to provide tailor made services to the civil, mining and construction industries. With focus on providing personalised service and “best for the project” outcomes the list of satisfied clients steadily grew. Jamstone’s client range includes residential property owners, local authorities, professional consultancies, state agencies and large mining and construction companies.
Using a unique set of project experiences and linkage between engineering geology and geotechnical engineering, Jamstone identifies the geotechnical risks to projects, allowing clients to successfully mitigate the risks. These skill sets can be applied from the concept stage planning through to design, construction and in-service problem solving.
